Behind the veil concealed
Lies a thing so precious
That words can’t bring to light.
Into darkness we’re plunged,
For the clouds hide the sun.

A diabetes poem – #DBlogWeek
Eyes weighed down like lead
I lower my head.
Memory kicks in,
And I remember:
I have the D.
Nothing’s so simple.
Me I My, My I Me, My I My, Me Me Me
Being lost frightens us. Being alone, more still.
Trav’ling the beaten path, you’ll find neither.
Upon the beaten path there lies
a congregation of bandits.
Guard your priceless treasure!
If at a certain point you’re lost,
Let your anxiety subside.
Breathe gently in the summer air,
And in the forest wander.
What was once torn apart has been conjoined.
Two friends have been united!
An unwelcome guest
Slowly I sip on coffee
The branches dance in the breeze
My name is James
Savoring its taste
Upon all the sun doth shine
I’m 21 years old
In quiet anticipation
On days like these I feel alive!
And I have diabetes.
WTF! I’m low…
